Synopsis: About a concert which took place in London in 1969. Begins with a deliberately light hearted introduction establishing the occasion and the artists using biographical material and the preparations and rehearsals for the concert. The film ends with the complete performance of Schubert's 'Trout' Quintet filmed live on stage at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London. The musicians are Daniel Barenboim (piano), Itzhak Perlman (violin), Pinchas Zukerman (viola), Jacqueline Du Pre (cello) and Zubin Mehta (double bass). The film won the TZ Rose in Munich.
